IEW courses through Mrs. G. are offered privately or semi privately through a ZoomRoom or Emails.
Sessions are offered over 18 or 36 Weeks.

I have found that what works best, for my method of teaching, is to have weekly “meetings” for 30-35 minutes via zoom. Students typically turn in their writing one day in advance. In an ideal situation, students complete a final draft of one paper (addressing the revisions that we’ve reviewed in class), while they write the rough draft of the next paper, yet I try to work with students "where they are". If they have a lot of revisions, they find that writing is difficult, they need extra time or even if they have a busy week ahead, I may only have them revise their work for the next week. For my students who are well trained, I may double up on assignments. They may finish two “courses” in the same time that others finish 1/2 of a course. It just depends. My goal for students is "Excellence in Writing" regardless of how long it takes.
During our Zoom meetings, we “grade” and revise students' paper together. For instance, if commas are a challenge, I explain or re-explain them. If banned words are used, we work together to find a suitable substitute. If a student has watched a dvd lesson, I review it with them to be sure that they understand and have some practice with the concepts.
I have used the IEW with quite a few students with "letters by their names" and quite a few initially reluctant writers. Working with students with a variety of issues (profoundly challenged to the profoundly gifted) has become one of specialties:).
Students may begin most courses at any time of the year as long as Mrs. G.'s schedule allows.
