Biblical Fine Arts - Photography Composition
(Middle School and older)
The "Biblical Fine Arts -Photography" course will provide your student with the opportunity to respond to Bible stories or passages with photographic challenges while learning photography composition. For each lesson, students are required to write a short paper, complete photography composition projects and a photographic challenge response to a Biblical Passage.
Students should plan to spend 6- 10 hours on each lesson. Based on about 90 hours of work, it is suggested that students receive 1/2 credit for the course.
Expectations for each lesson:
1. Read and Meditate on the Biblical Passage of the lesson. Write 200-500 words about your reflections on the passage.
2. Projects: - Complete the art project based on the reading.
3. Write about 100 words explaining your artistic response to the lesson.

Photography Composition: (for those 13 or older)
Photography courses are geared towards students who are looking for ways to expand their photographic skills in a photographic composition design course. In these courses, the composition of the photographed image is the emphasis- not the basic use of the camera. (Students should already be familiar with taking photographs with their cameras, iPods, iPhones, isomethings etc.). By exploring and experimenting with a variety of photographic styles, students will strengthen their photographic skills and eye for compostion.
This intense 9 lesson photography course is geared towards students who looking for ways to expand their photographic skills.
By exploring the work of famous photographic artists and various photographic techniques and challenges, students will create for themselves a strong and expansive portfolio. Students should plan to spend 8-12 hours on each lesson. Based on the extensive amount of work required, it is suggested that students receive 1 high school credit for their work.
Expectations for each lesson:
1. Study Photographer's and his/her work. Write 200-400 words about the photographer.
2. Scrapbook - Chose the photos from the photographer of the lesson that best represent the topics covered in the lesson..
3. Projects: - Complete photography project based on a composition lesson.
4. Completion of the "Final Project"
