1st Semester - Art
2nd Semester - Photography
This Biblical Fine Arts Course is geared toward students that would like to expand the breadth of their artistic talents. This course will provide your student with the opportunity to respond to Bible stories or passages through many different types of Art and Photography projects.
Semester 1: Every project explores a different art form: sculpture, textiles, paint, etc.. all with a Biblical concentration. Art projects are not step by step projects, but projects that require students to allow the Holy Spirit to work through them to lead them to strong artistic responses.
Semester 2: Every project explores a different photography compositional technique with a Biblical concentration. Projects encourage students to allow the Holy Spirit to work through them to lead them to strong photographic responses.
Expectations for each lesson:
1. Reading of Biblical Passage and a short paper sharing what it means to the student.
2. Students completes an Art or Photography project based on the reading by the next class meeting.
3. For each lesson, students are encouraged to write a short paragraph explaining their artistic responses.
4. Students should be prepared to share their work with the class each week.
