Public Review - Architecture Home Design CAMP Rocks!, (On Outschool). also Beg Arch Part 2- Home Design
"This class is a wonderful introduction to architecture and interior design! My son (7) and daughter (9) took this class together for fun. They were so inspired by the lessons that Mrs. G. put together. So much so, they would discuss architecture and interior design all week long in between lessons. Now I find them commenting on house designs during our neighborhood walks and they give me unsolicited advice on interior design improvements for our home. Ms. Amy taught them how to draw blueprints to scale and equipped them with design vocabulary. This class also helped the kids improve their oral presentation skills. Ms. Amy provided timely feedback after the weekly presentations, which gave the kids a nice boost of confidence about their design and creativity and just enough criticism to push them to improve certain concepts/drawings for next time. She is a very positive and enthusiastic teacher."

Expect awesome! My 9 year old son absolutely loved this class. He felt very supported by the teacher who did a great job checking in while the students were working to see how they were feeling about their builds. She was very encouraging. The hands-on learning was just what he needed. He saw his square shapes fail and his triangular shapes hold up. Three and a half hours after class was over, he was still working away...not begging to be on the XBox. What a great class...we will definitely be signing up for more from this educator.

My boys (8 & 11) had a blast taking this class! It was interesting to watch their projects evolve. They were each drawn to different architectural styles and home sizes which made for fun discussions.

"We feel so blessed to have found Mrs., G and her wonderful Building Brilliant Minds program. My daughter completed the IEW writing program and the Intro to Architecture course. "

"It has been a joy to see my daughter gain not only confidence in her writing, but she has blossomed under the compassion, patience and guidance that Mrs., G. skillfully displayed. Not only did Mrs. G communicate well with my daughter, she was my ally in creating a strong foundation of writing skills and only wanted to best support all aspects of the individuality of her student. She built on my daughter’s strengths and worked on her challenges in a positive way. I love how she built a strong bond with my daughter that I can only hope will last a lifetime. These are the influential relationships that you hope for your kids, as they find their wings. The champions. Who help them reach for the stars.
The Intro to Architecture was quite a challenge in learning new skills and in time management, but was peppered with so much fun, that it seemed like an art class. I love how there was research and writing involved. So many skills were built, so many tools added to the toolbox. Of course, building the model was the highlight. This fun and learning won’t stop as we dive in to the advanced architecture zoo design course. Very excited!
We love you, Amy and are so glad you are part of our lives.

Hi, Mrs G. I have completed all of my service hours for the two honor societies. I actually ended up doing 30 hours. Some of that was helping do craft projects with preschoolers (3.5 hours). The other 27 hours were in creating art and selling it to benefit a family who is adopting an older child from China. I ended up making $155 and I just sent that to them. I have included the drawings I sold just so you could see them. Thank you for the opportunity to be part of these honor societies. It felt really good to be able to help people with my gifts. Sometime over the summer I am thinking about signing up for one of your Advanced Architecture classes. I am leaning towards City Planning.
Thank you so much!

Hi Mrs. G,
Thank you so much for teaching the course. I really learned a lot and the course was a great experience overall. It also really helped me learn the basics of architecture, and prepare me for a larger project I am doing for high school. (student review)

Dance Course Testimonials
"I would highly recommend this dance class. It has been wonderful for my daughter to learn about the history of dance as well as different dance types. It has been stretching for her as she breaks out of her "hip-hop" mold and realizes that she can do other dances as well. She enjoys watching the other students' dances online and learning from them as well. Thank you, Mrs. G!! " - From a Dance Mom
So far my son has had a lot of fun with the class. I think he is getting a lot out of the choreography projects.
This class has been wonderful so far for encouraging him to write in an area that is of interest to him. I’m so glad we found it when we did and he had the opportunity to be in it. - From a Dance Mom
