FALL 2023/24
Beginning Piano - Group Lesson
Zoom Group Class begins Thursday, August 22, 2024 - (11:00 - 11:45 ET)
Private Lesson (via Zoom) - Day/Time TBD
The Simply Music Piano Method provides students a playing-based approach to learning how to play the piano for a lifetime of music. The Simply Music method teaches students, through patterns, shapes, and structures, to play 35-50 songs, including classical, blues, and accompaniments, typically within the first year of the program. The Simply Music method teaches piano in steps, which happen so easily that students do not even recognize the amount of learning that they accomplish in a very short period of time. Students do not even begin to “read” music until the 2nd or 3rd year. Simply Music provides students with nine Foundational Levels and nine Developmental Levels and composition, arrangement, and accompaniment opportunities. This program was initially created for students with learning disabilities but is definitely challenging for all ages. Adults are welcome to register for classes, too! (Typically, “shared” lessons are recommended as students learn from each other, and the group-based environment makes piano lessons more exciting for many students.) Simply Music really gives students the ENTIRE PACKAGE and prepares them to be lifelong musicians!
Mrs. G. is fabulous at motivating students, bringing them together as a team, and just making music FUN!

My Simply Music Story
I have been playing the piano for years, yet never found teaching piano to my own children to be a successful experience. We'd jump in, work on notes, and beats, but before I knew it, we fizzled out. It was boring and tedious for everyone! ( I was taught traditionally and did not know that there was another way.) One of my writing student's mother introduced me to Simply Music. ("Thank you Susan!") For me, it was an instant HIT! My girls are fighting over their piano time. :).. Musical mom's dream come true!
The method is AMAZING!
From my perspective, the simply music method is incredibly architectural and consistent with my art and architecture courses and the IEW writing courses in regards to the basic premise of giving students tools and building upon them.
I devoured the information and became a licensed teacher. I am so very excited to share this program with my students.
I can not recommend this program enough. Whether you decide to take lessons online (easily possible) or you find a simply music teacher in your area... there is just not a better program around for teaching kids (and ADULTS) to love learning to play music.
