Suggested Sequence of Study
Architecture is a fabulous foundation for a high school program in Art and Design.
This sequence of study is a suggestion, but is not the only way to benefit from Mrs. G.'s courses in pursuit of a "High School of the Arts" experience. After Introduction to Architecture the Advanced Architecture Courses may be taken at any time. Writing, Photography and Dance are fabulous support courses for anyone interested in an "Arts" education.
Zoo and Arboretum Design Courses tend to blend well with Biology, Health and Geography as Adv Arch 2 - Home Design includes a running tally of expenses which would work well with Accounting or Economics.
Remember each course requires 6-10 hours of work for all nine lessons or about 90 hours of work. It is recommended that high school students receive 1/2 credit for each course. This sequence could begin as early as 7th grade or, in part, as late as 12th grade. (Mrs. G's courses are in bold. Other suggested high school courses are also listed.)
If your student is interested in a high school immersion in the arts program, please contact Mrs. G. to iron out the details for your unique needs. (hsarchitecture@icloud.com)
