I am so excited!  Classes started today and I have some fabulous students this year!
Everyone was incredibly respectful, inquisitive and engaged today!
Half of our states are represented by Building Brilliant Minds students:

Some also come from Canada and Germany this year!

Iconography Part 2
I am taking a "board class" - how to make a gesso board to use for the iconography course I am taking this fall!

Cecilia soared after taking her iconography summer camp!
She learned how to make icons on glass and on a clay board.
She taught me what she learned and her sister!
She hasn't stopped asking to make icons!
I am looking forward to watching her thrive in the fall with her next course!

Cecilia is taking an Iconography camp with  Mrs. Randi Sider-Rose through St.  Raphael School - Schole Academy.  She is learning a bunch and is having a good time learning how to pain icons of some of her favorite saints.   Mrs. Randi Sider-Rose even offers courses for ADULTS!  I am not a painter by trade, but I am taking her Apprenticeship 1 Course this fall.. and I am sooo EXCITED to be learning something new!  I'll keep you updated as I go, but if you are so inspired, I think she still has room.  She also has an Apprenticeship 1 course for high school students and a couple of workshops for kids 10-18.  Check out the courses HERE  - Scroll down for the heading "Sacred Arts".
